What a busy past couple of months it has been. It is hard to believe that it has been such a long time since I have gotten around to post anything new here. We have been having some weird weather as of lately. It seems that every time it gets cold and snowy it starts to warm up and rain, although this seems more and more common these past few years. Either way we have been getting after it. A month ago it was cold enough to do some local ice routes, but they have since melted away. Next we got a devastating ice storm which destroyed the Thunderbolt, making it unskiable. Since the storm, us members of the Thunderbolt Ski Runners have been up there religiously trying to restore the trail to before ice storm condition. I am happy to say is now totally skiable and almost in perfect shape. Now we have had some snow and it is dumping out as I type this. So if these weather patterns stay the same all I can say is get out and play in it for you never know when its going to melt away. I will leave you with some photos of the early season local snow and ice that we had. These pictures our no longer any indication of whats out there now, but its probably not to far off.
