Our Guides
Chris Bernier - Chris developed a love for the outdoors at a young age while growing up in the Berkshires. His specialties include running, hiking, snowboarding, x-country skiing, climbing (rock and ice), and cycling. Chris's passion for outdoors has brought him from rock climbing Ireland to snowboarding in Chamonix France to hiking the Long Trail in Vermont and everywhere in between. He has completed two marathons, the Chicago in 2004 and Vermont City in 2006. He recently returned to the Berkshires after spending a winter in Jackson Hole, WY where he surfed the Tetons.
Chris is CPR, First Aid and Avalanche 1 certified. He is knowledgeable about the area and has the ability to communicate effectively with everyone. He regularly participates in triathlons and road races around New England. On the weekends you can generally find him out with Rich (other BB Guide) at popular destinations like the Gunks or Mount Greylock. In his free time he enjoys reading, tasty micro brews and sharing stories with others.
Rich Adamczyk - Rich started rock climbing in the Berkshires at the ripe ol'e age of 12. He has spent the greater portion of his life living out of his Toyota pickup traveling from crag to crag. His climbing endeavors have taken him zig zagging across the country to famous destinations such as, Yosemite, Moab, Joshua Tree and Red Rock. He has also spent time tooling around on ice routes in Colorado and through out the New England. When he can’t make it to the west coast, Rich wanders to his local northeast stomping grounds- The Gunks, Cannon Cliff, North Conway's Whitehorse and Cathedral Ledges.
In addition to Rich's passion for rock climbing, he has spent countless days hiking, biking, snowboarding and roaming in search of the next great adventure. He has spent time snowboarding in classic European hot spots like Chamonix, Courmayeur and Zermatt. There has also been an endless number great days snowboarding in resorts and backcountry locations across the U.S. After NINE cross-country road trips, Rich can't wait for the next one. He's anticipating the next gas station hotdog, millionth cup of coffee and putting more miles on his truck in one year than most people do in five.
